Mesa County Library Comic Con 2017
October 7th in Grand Junction CO. saw the first Library Comic Con held at the Two Rivers Convention Center. This year boasted the release of the first issue of the Junktown Comic Book Project
and a head count of 5,562 attendees. Comic Con is a celebration of comic books, comic arts, science fiction, fantasy, anime, manga, books, graphic novels, movies and more. The event included fan meet-ups, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, kids’ and teens’ activities, cosplay and costume contest. With prizes sponsored by Con attending vendors and artists. This day long comic book event did not disappoint. Top 5 Comics had comic books to sale new and old. Artists includes 2d, 3d art, novelists, and even video game programmers. Amanda ( 9 years of age) said "It was the greatest thing she had seen this year."
